| A lot needs to be done for easy passage of rain water |
Prakash Foundation has been pursuing the issue of proper cleaning and regular maintenance of the notorious Singthara Drain, which was constructed 25 years ago following the journalistic pressure from Mr Narvijay Yadav, then a BSc student of University of Allahabad. The 5 km long drain is responsible for proper drainage of flood water to the nearby Sot river. Mr Yadav has raised the matter in front of the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and the district administration.
