The Singthara Drain : Main hindrances

The 1.5 feet height of the two cement pipes of the culvert from the ground level, near Bakarpur village will pose a big hindrance in the flow of water.

The drain almost disappears near Mai-Basai village (seen in the background) has been a big problem always. The people of these two villages had initially hindred the construction of this drain four decades ago. Mr Narvijay Yadav, resident of Palai village, took a bold step and pressurised the UP Govt to construct the drain in 1987.

Shallow part of the drain towards the Singthara and Palai villages side. The depth needs to be increased.

The actual drain. It needs to look like this all the way, which is not. The flood division of Budaun district is responsible for the required depth and proper maintenance of the drain.
