Prakash Foundation holds Drawing Competition for Palai Kids

The drawing competition was held on 26th January, 2013 at Palai village in Budaun district in UP

Over 110 girls and boys of all age groups participated in the competition

Children showed enthusiasm

Girls have no option of higher education in Palai village

Drawing competition will be a regular feature now in Palai

Even boys took a lot of interest in the activity

Elders and women watched eagerly from a distance

There are two government schools, primary and junior level, in Palai

Children mostly drew human figures, saree borders and flowers

Surprisingly none of the children drew lake or water or scenery

Mukesh and Khushboo Rox helped in selecting the best entries

Narvijay Yadav rewarded the winners with gifts, notebooks, pens and caps

A rangoli competition also took place side by side

A lot of children drew lotus, a local feature

Elder girls were rewarded with Mahatma Gandhi's Autobiography
